Morris 10/4 - Information

The Car is a Morris 10/4 1934 Pre Series

The Car was made in 1934, which a man who lives in Exeter, London, United Kingdom, who bought the car, then he passed away and it was passed to the son who kept the car for some years. The son over the years finally stripped the car down and started from scratch, but then had to sell the car as the son was moving house and had no room for it. The man had it up for sale on Ebay which we were very intrested in the car it was just about right for us, as my dad wanted  to buy a car to do up. We went down to my uncle's house (my dad's brother) who lives in High Wycombe, London, United Kingdom. We stopped down there for a few days and during them days went to see the car, The car was not in good condition at that time, It could not start as it had been stood some time, the car's paint work says it should of been a blue car with black wings, the car was light blue with scratches and red wings.

We arranged a price but the man would not accept, so we said no we do not want it and walked away , the man got in contact with us within a few hours saying he would  lower the price, we accepted the offer which he wanted and set a deposit down for him and said in the next few weeks we will be down for it and we will keep in contact.

My other Uncle (also my dad's brother) set of at 1.00am in a

Isuzu Tropper 4x4

From Newton Aycliffe, Co Durham, North East  to  Exeter, London, South

We set of a 1.00am in the morning and arrived at

Exeter at 7.00am and got the car loaded onto the trailer with another engine and a few other parts for the car, we were back on the road at 8.00am and was heading back home all the way back up to the North by then there was a lot more traffic on the road, more than when we set off that morning.

We stopped at a truck stop and have a full english breakfast and we had to get back on the road again, to get home we arrived at home at 3.15pm that same day, that day was the hottest day of that year it was boiling. When we got everything off the trailer we had to see if we could start the car, but the car had been stood for some years and would not start we had to use some tricks liking trying the battery, putting petrol down the carboretter, putting new fuel in, and then finally it started with big thick  black smoke coming out of it, and finally it got going, the car had no MOT OR TAX but the age of the car the tax is free or NIL in driving skills.

The car is under restoration and in a few years time hopefully it will be ready and then maybe we will done another projector of my choice.

We take the car to differenet shows we go to as many as possible

I hope you enjoy reading this more information over the year.
